Return & Refund Policy
30-Day Return Window
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, you may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, subject to the conditions below.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Within 30 days of the delivery date
- In original condition, unused, and unmodified
- In original packaging with all accessories, cables, and documentation included
- Free of physical damage caused by the buyer
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance – No Returns”
- Software or licenses that have been activated or registered
- Items with removed or altered serial number labels
- Custom-configured or build-to-order servers
- Items damaged due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications
How to Initiate a Return
- Contact us at our contact page, by email at returns@redwoodhardware.com, or call +49 40 555-RWHW
- Provide your order number and reason for return
- We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging
- Ship the item back to our Hamburg, Germany warehouse with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the box
Do not ship returns without an RMA number. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.
Return Shipping
While orders to Germany ship with free shipping (other EU countries €14.99), return shipping costs depend on the reason for return:
- Defective or wrong items: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.
- Buyer's remorse / change of mind: Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Returns must be sent to our warehouse in Hamburg, Germany. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and insuring the package.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 5 – 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method (bank transfer refund to your bank account). You will receive an email notification when your refund has been processed.
Refunds are for the product amount only.
Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee may apply to returns that are not due to a defect or our error. This fee covers inspection, testing, and repackaging costs. The restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item for a different configuration or product, please initiate a return and place a new order. This ensures the fastest processing time.
Warranty Claims
Most of our refurbished products come with a 90-day warranty. If your item develops a defect within the warranty period, please contact us for a warranty claim. Warranty repairs or replacements are handled separately from the standard return process.
